Karl Kasischke - Web & Interactive Developer
Like the mild-mannered whiz kid Peter Parker (AKA Spider Man), the smart, subdued Karl Kasischke has underlying super powers. While Karl was not bitten by a radioactive spider at a science fair, he was bitten by the Internet bug back in the late 1990's and transformed into a super-powered "web slinger." Unfortunately, Karl can't scale tall buildings using his suction-cupped finger tips, but he can expertly handle front-end web design and back-end integration with superhuman skill, speed and agility. As he cranks out the XHTML, CSS, PHP, and Flash, he uses his "spidey sense" to steer clear of bad usability and non-standards compliant code.
Prior to his full time position with ICM, Karl was our intern while he completed a degree within the Internet Professional Program at Washtenaw Community College. Today Karl is an instructor in courses in XHTML and CSS in that same program. Before joining the ICM team, Karl was an Editor at All Movie Guide. Karl is a graduate of the University of Michigan. Outside of work, Karl is a star in local theater productions. You'll recognize him as the guy who looks just like Kenny Loggins (but currently without the beard). Like Kenny, Karl likes to remind us often that "You'd get by if you'd only cut loose, footloose."
