Dr. Norman - Director of Happiness
Dr. Norman is a world-renowned expert in human resource management (HRM) practices, with over twenty seven dog years of experience in employee involvement, team building, and motivation. He works with the ICM staff to make sure we work as a true team or "pack," as he fondly calls us. His favorite saying is "None of us is as good as all of us."
Prior to heading up ICM's human resources department, Dr. Norman's illustrious career included leadership positions with the University of Michigan's Pavlovian Research Institute, and the International Pet Snack Improvement Center. He has received 14 honorary degrees from foreign and US universities, including the University of Doggidew in Brazil's La Ciudad de los Perros. Dr. Norman has also received dozens of government and civic awards including the Harry D. Mutt Distinguished Service Award and the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his tireless work to establish dog parks throughout the world.
Dr. Norman completed his doctoral degree in canine-human interaction. In his Ph.D. dissertation entitled, "The Effects of Canine Cuteness in Relation to the Human Bonding and Attachment Phenomena," Dr. Norman analyzed the complex and often co-dependent relationship between a medium-sized Beagle-Lab mix and a team of web developers.
